Reading the Signs Together

A shared pause at the confusing intersections of life –

In our lives, we often come across signs.
Internal or external messages that seem to tell us where to go, how fast to move, or whether we’ve gone off course.

But many of these signs... just don’t make sense.
They flash messages like:
“Everyone else is ahead.”
“You’re too late.”
“You’re on the wrong track.”
“You should have figured this out by now.”

These signs can stir anxiety, guilt, or shame.
They often come from old internal rules, voices of the past, or silent comparisons we didn’t even know we were making.

In therapy, we slow down beside these signs.
We notice them, name them, and gently ask:

  • Who placed this sign here?

  • Does it belong to me?

  • Is it still guiding me—or is it keeping me stuck?

Sometimes the answer is to keep going.
Sometimes it’s to rest.
And sometimes, it's to write a new sign entirely—one that speaks in your language, at your pace, to your needs.

The therapy space is like a platform:
A place where we stop together, read the signs, and choose—deliberately, kindly—how and when to board the next train.
